Hello visitor and who knows traveler or aspiring traveler. 🙂
I’m Pedro, I’m 33 years old and I’m from Portugal. I never travelled much until I started working, to be honest, so this travel blogging is pretty recent.
At the age of 15 I made my first trip, and it was one week in Paris to visit family. I travelled by bus, and I remember that my mother had to sign an authorization for me to go alone and cross borders. I also remember the long hours without sleeping on the bus, due to my seat neighbor speaking half of the time and snoring the other half.
I was still a boy and didn’t know how to travel well. I visited the main attractions, but not with the same detail and attention I do today.
I was not addicted to travelling yet, no “Impulsive Addiction” by then.

I believe that what triggered everything was the 6 months studying abroad in The Netherlands during my university degree. I felt free for the first time, and I loved it!
I’m still a “boy” when it comes to travelling, and that’s a fact. But step by step I’m changing that. I travel mostly alone, and nowadays, every time I can.
I love nature, hiking, and “open-air museums”. I don’t think that you need to go far to travel. That’s why this travel blog is mostly about my own country! In addition to traveling, I am passionate about cinema and theater. Despite being adventurous, I am not a fan of sports, and yes, I don’t really care about football!
I dream about Japan, India or Indonesia. I’m preparing for the cultural shock in the near future.
Join me on this adventure! This blog was created in May 2020.

This blog is amazing! Do you have any hiking tips for the Duoro Valley. Thanks,
Wow! Excellent feedback, Kim. 😀
I’m Portuguese and this blog started as a Portuguese blog. I’m currently translating the main content from Portuguese into English, so you’ll find a lot more content here soon about my country. 😉
To answer your question, I haven’t hiked much in Douro Valley. I only went through the main viewpoints, most of which do not require a walk.
– See my article about Lamego, I mention the Port Wine Trail there.
– Search for São Cristóvão do Douro Trail, not yet on this blog. But it starts in Provesende, not far from Pinhão, in the heart of Douro Valley.
– Search for “Viver o Douro” trail, in the region of Castelo de Paiva.
– Check out my viewpoints article as well. Good suggestions there.
Douro Valley is ideal for a driving itinerary, in my opinion. If you like hiking, I believe there are better places in Portugal to do it, for example Peneda Gerês National Park. 😉 I have some content about Gerês in this website, check it.
